Keeping Your Dog Groomed in the Cold!
When it comes to your furry friend, you want what’s best for them. This is especially true when the weather gets cold. Keeping them properly groomed is not always easy. We have provided some excellent ways to keep them happy and active during the cold.
During the cold, dogs tend to shed hair more frequently. This is because we keep our homes warmer in the winter and it causes them to shed more. Too much shedding can lead to mats in some dogs. Brushing them more often can also prevent tangles. Taking time to brush your dog’s hair regularly will also help distribute the natural oils in their fur.
The winter time can be awful for your dog’s paws. The snow, ice, and salt can really damage their tender paws. Make sure to clean off their paws after they have been outside in the cold. Watch out for snow and salt that can build up between the pads of your dog’s paws. If you are really concerned about their paws, try using baby socks to cover up their paws when taking them outside. This will help protect against some of the elements.
