Widow’s Peak Music Festival is a 2-day music and camping festival this coming weekend, May 21-22, with over 20 of the absolute best progressive roots artists: folk, blues, bluegrass, country and alt-country. The Festival will be held at the campground that this writer owned from 1990-2000, right here in DeKalb County.
Enjoy the square mile of picturesque woods, fields, creeks and ponds that beautiful Stone House Park has to offer. Chow down on outstanding carnivorous, vegetarian, and vegan food from local restaurants. But most of all, grab a couple friends and make a lifetime of great memories to share down the road.
This year’s Widow’s Peak will benefit our friend, Mariel Mentink, who was struck by a car while riding her bike in Austin, Texas on New Years Eve. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated directly to Mariel and her family, and several other fund-raising events are being planned throughout the fest. Help support Mariel and raise awareness for road sharing and bike safety.
Stone House Park is located at 3719 Suydam Rd in the SouthWest tip of DeKalb County. Weekend tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate. One-day passes will also be available at the gate. For much more information and pictures, please visit their website Widows Peak Music Festival.
