The Waterman Lions will hold their annual Summerfest and Antique Tractor Show on Saturday July 16, 2011 at Waterman Lions Park in Waterman. This is the 11th year of the annual one-day event that brings together owners of antique tractors, crafters and flea market concessionaires along with civic organizations with booths promoting their activities. Admission is free to this fun, small town event.
The day’s events begin with a French Toast Breakfast at 7am. Other events include: Antique Tractor Show, Parade of Power, Kid’s Pedal Tractor Pull, Craft Show/Flea Market, Train Rides, Petting Zoo, Kid’s activities, Draw-Down Raffle, All Day concessions, Lion’s Club Pork Chop BBQ, Hayrides, Magic Show at 2:30, Live Bands, Beer Garden and Fireworks.
Live music will include from 2:30-5pm, Trumans Ridge Bluegrass Band and Kish-Wau-Keys Barbershop Quartet. Brian Lavender & Whiskey Bent Band will play from 8-11:30pm. The Beer Garden will be open from 3-11:30pm. Fireworks will begin about 9pm. For a complete schedule of events please click here.
The show has attracted a wide variety of antique farm equipment exhibitors and continues to grow each year. A Championship Garden Tractor Pull and Summerfest Princess contest has been added for 2011. Waterman Lion Park is located at 420 S. Birch St. in Waterman.
