Ronald Edwards
My name is Ronald Edwards and I running for the position of Sycamore Township Highway Commissioner. I am the only candidate for Sycamore Township Highway Commissioner with experience as an elected Highway Commissioner, having served 8 years in that post in Pierce Township. I also worked 10 years as Chief Deputy Highway Commissioner in Cortland Township, which includes the portions of Sycamore that are not inside Sycamore Township’s boundaries.
My wife Sindy (Sigman) and I have been married for 40 years and have two sons Ron Jr. and David, 3 grandchildren Kelsie, Bradford and Shelby all live in Sycamore and attend Sycamore High School. In addition to my works with township government, I have been a family grain farmer since 1995, farming as many as 600 acres annually.
As Sycamore Township Highway Commissioner I will focus on being a hands on Highway Commissioner. This will allow me to help reduce costs with salaries and employee benefits. As well, I will practice fiscal responsibility and work on converting the rest of the Township roads with gravel surfaces to hard surfaces.
Thank you for your time, your support, and I would greatly appreciate your vote on April 4th.
