On February 5th, DeKalb Park District will be hosting its annual POLAR-palooza Winter Festival at Hopkins Park from noon until 3 pm.
This family-oriented event is free and will include outdoor events such as ice skating, a snowman head building contest, and more. Enjoy free hot chocolate and s’mores next to a bonfire or watch Free Spirit Siberian Rescue dog demonstrations. Or you and your family skip the outdoors altogether. Instead, participate in winter crafts and a Book Walk in the Hopkins Community Center.
For the outdoor events, the following will be occurring with their respective times:
Open Skating takes place from noon to 1:00pm and 2:00pm to 3:00pm.
Hockey Stick Broomball takes place 1:00pm-2:00pm.
Please note that some of these events are weather and snow-dependent.
