Underground Railroad Class for Kids Thursday

Students fourth grade and older are invited to attend the Sycamore History Museum’s “Underground Railroad Class” for kids this coming Thursday, July 23rd, 2015. During this workshop, participants will take a closer look at the Underground Railroad story in our community, listen to stories about the Underground Railroad, discover some of the clues used to help slaves escape, and help make a quilt that will be shared with classrooms next school year.

Registration is limited to 20 students. Call 815-895-5762 to register. The class goes from 10am until 11:30am and the cost is $2 per child. The Sycamore History Museum is located at 1730 Main Street, just north of downtown Sycamore.
