Plan to spend this Tuesday evening, July 9th, 2013 in downtown Sycamore. The focus for this month’s Discover Sycamore Tuesdays on the Town is ‘Salute to America’. Wear your red, white and blue and come to downtown Sycamore from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
The band “Jazz in Progress” will be performing patriotic and WWII era music from 5:30-7pm downtown. Picture at right is of this jazz band playing in DeKalb.
The Sycamore Veteran’s Home will host an open house for all. Come out to 121 S California St. in Sycamore and meet the veterans, make thank you cards for the troops, and much more!
Take the little ones out to eat, and then head over to the FREE outdoor showing of Surf’s Up. Surf’s Up is the second free outdoor movie of the summer in downtown Sycamore. The movie begins at dusk following Tuesdays on the Town on the corner of Somonauk and Elm Streets in downtown Sycamore. Popcorn and refreshments will be available for purchase. Gather your family, lawn chairs, and blankets, for a free night of fun in downtown Sycamore.
Bring the whole family to downtown Sycamore for Tuesdays on the Town on the 2nd Tuesday of the month May through September. There will be a variety of family-friendly activities each month and all of the downtown businesses will be open late and featuring special offers!
