The Sycamore Summer Concert Series presents Sycamore’s own, Truman’s Ridge this Thursday, July 21st! The Park District is excited for Truman’s Ridge to join the series for the first time and showcase a hometown talent with the beautiful backdrop at the Good Tymes Shelter. This regional band is known throughout the Midwest and can even be heard on the radio and internet in the United States and Europe.
Truman’s Ridge consist’s of Mark Fowler on mandolin and harmony vocals; Bruce Wallace on 5-string banjo, harmonica and harmony vocals; Chris Johnson on upright bass and harmony vocals and Steve Sarver on 6-string guitar and lead vocals. Truman’s Ridge Truman’s Ridge has released four CD’s: Tru-Blue, Long Way Home, Cold Cold Feeling and Louisiana Swing.
Come enjoy free music all summer long at Sycamore’s Summer Concert Series each Thursday evening, from 7:00 until 9:00pm! The Good Tymes Shelter is located in the Sports Complex, ¼ mile south of Route 64 on Airport Road. Bring a picnic or purchase food, beer, and wine from the Caddy Shack Grill on site. If you want to move and dancing isn’t your thing, here are some other activities you may enjoy while listening to the show: playground, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, outdoor table tennis, fishing, walking path!
