The DeKalb County TRIAD Team is a partnership comprised of Law Enforcement, Community Groups and Senior Citizens. The Mission of TRIAD is to bring Law Enforcement, Community Organizations and Senior Citizens together to improve the quality of life for older adults in DeKalb County. TRIAD empowers senior citizens to become more involved in community activities including Crime Prevention, Educational Seminars, and other programs to make our community a safer place.
On June 9th, 2016 the DeKalb County TRIAD met in an effort to assist a disabled person in need. A motorized wheelchair was donated by TRIAD in an effort meet the needs of a citizen that would greatly benefit from this donation. TRIAD is confident this individual’s quality of life will immensely improve thanks to this donation. TRIAD is comprised of several agencies in DeKalb County that are dedicated to preserving the quality of life for older adults. The following agencies contribute regularly to TRIAD:
Elder Care Services, Voluntary Action Center, Family Service Agency, Housing Authority of the County of DeKalb, Catholic Charities, Barb City Manor, Kishwaukee Community Hospital, Home Instead, First National Bank, DeKalb Township, Sycamore Police Department, Sandwich Police Department and DeKalb Police Department. TRIAD meets monthly at various locations within DeKalb County. Any community groups interested in joining TRIAD can contact Officer Kelly Sullivan at the DeKalb Police Department.
