UPDATE: Sycamore’s Tree Program has been extended until October 23rd!
There is still time to get in on Sycamore’s Fall Tree Planting Program’s order time until this Thursday, October 15th, 2015. In this great program, homeowners can choose what kind of tree they’d like to plant in their front yard, parkway or side yard facing front and the City will pay 50% of the cost of the tree.
Trees will be provided and planted by Stran’s Garden Center and Landscaping and have a one year guaranty. Trees will be planted in late October and November. For much more information, see the Sycamore Fall Tree Planting Program brochure here. Three different groups of types of trees, each for different situations are spelled out in the brochure to help homeowners decide what kind of tree best fits their particular situation.

Maybe we are paying too much in taxes if the city can subsidize tree purchases. Let us keep our own money and buy our own trees and plant them where we wish on our own property.
