This year’s Holiday Healing Show at the House Cafe will see all proceeds benefit DeKalb’s own “Feed ’em Soup Community Project”. Come join in the fun from noon to 8pm this Sunday, December 19th, enjoy the music, dance raffles and show. The holidays wouldn’t be the same without sharing the spirit of the season with fellow home town heroes. Admission is $5 plus a non perishable food item, or $8 without.
Feed’em Soup Provides meals on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at the First Lutheran Church of DeKalb. The following non-perishable items are greatly needed for meals: canned or dried beans, canned tomatoes, dried pasta/noodles, tomato paste, stock/broth, peanut butter, jelly, powdered drink mix, salad dressing. In addition to meals, Feed’em Soup also offers a small food pantry at each meal. Other items such as canned soup, vegetables, break fast cereal and even house hold items and clothing are greatly needed.
The House Cafe is donating the room so make sure to support them by buying food and drinks while you are there. Their menu has a fantastic variety of fresh bakery items, delicious wraps and sandwiches, soups, salads, and a flavorful vegetarian fare. They also always have a great selection of teas and coffee drinks, as well as a premium assortment of beer and wine. For more information on The House Cafe visit http://www.thehousecafe.net/ .
