The Bridal Guide was developed by Jill Doherty in 1992 as a media tool to guide newly engaged couples through the wedding planning process. The theory was to give the couples one media source with educational wedding related articles and information on upcoming events.
Each guide has recurring articles such as Bridal Expos, What’s New in the Tri-County, the Newlywed Wisdom and the B.G.B.G (bridal guide brides and grooms) which features recently married couples. The newlyweds share their tips and suggestions in hopes to help engaged couples. There is also a wide selection of participating wedding vendors to peruse.
The Bridal Guide has evolved from a one colored card stock cover with black and white internal pages to where it is today—a full-color high gloss cover and inner pages—while maintaining the wedding industry vendors and educational articles. We are currently working on the next edition of The Bridal Guide! Join in our excitement by emailing how the guide has helped you in planning your wedding or generating customers. Give us suggestions or ideas that you would like us to research.
