The 23rd Judicial Circuit, consisting of Dekalb and Kendall Counties, announces that a new Associate Judge has been selected to fill the vacancy due to the retirement of Judge Joseph R. Voiland.
The new Associate Judge is Lisa F. Accardi. She is currently in practice as an attorney in Kendall County. She has been an attorney since 2003.
Lisa is a graduate of John Marshall Law School and DePaul University where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology.
A formal investiture ceremony will be held on August 2, 2023 at the Kendall County Courthouse.
Chief Judge Bradley J. Waller stated, “Lisa will be an excellent judge. She has the demeanor and legal skills to serve the citizens of the 23rd Judicial Circuit in a competent manner. We are pleased to have her on the bench.”
Associate Judges are selected by the Circuit Judges of the 23rd Judicial Circuit to serve a four-year term. Lisa F. Accardi was selected from a group of 16 well-qualified individuals who applied for the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Joseph R. Voiland.
