Learn how the force exhibited on the playing field has changed over the years. A lot of physics is about describing how objects move and interact, and football is full of objects that move and interact.
Understanding some general concepts (like force, momentum, and energy) can help you understand why things happen on the field and why the game is played as it is. Are players bigger, faster, and stronger than they used to be? Does this matter?
At our monthly Teen STEM Cafés, we have short talks about STEM fields, related STEM activities and FREE Pizza from Hy-Vee! Family members are welcome.
This free presentation is for all ages. Registration is required. For additional information or to register, please contact Susan at susang@dkpl.org or (815) 756-9568 ext. 3400.
