Build responsibility and skills for life by becoming a certified Red Cross lifeguard. Upon completion of the course, participants will be certified in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Students must be 15 years of age before the end of the course.
The class runs on February 24, 25 and March 3, 4, from 10am-4pm each day. Must attend all 4 days for certifications. The cost for YMCA members is $225, Program Participant Fee is $300. The Kishwaukee Family YMCA is located at 2500 Bethany Rd.
All participants need to pass the swimming requirements prior to the class. In order to complete the prerequisite skills, participants must contact the Kishwaukee YMCA’s Lifeguard Coordinator, Dave Epert at (815) 756-9577 x26 or depert@kishymca.org, prior to the class to set-up a time to perform the skills.
