Sycamore to begin Crack Sealing Program

The City of Sycamore has contracted Behm Pavement Maintenance of Crystal Lake, IL to complete the 2016 Crack Sealing Program. This work involves placing rubberized asphalt crack sealant into existing cracks and seams in the asphalt roadway. This process extends the useful life of the roadway by slowing the growth of existing and future cracks.

This work is scheduled to start on Thursday October 13th and continue through late October. Work normally lasts up to 2 days on each street. After the material has been placed, City crews will be sweeping the street to remove any construction debris. Construction signs will be placed prior to the start of work. Please obey all CONSTRUCTION AHEAD and NO PARKING signs until these signs are removed.
