The City of Sycamore has contracted Behm Pavement Maintenance of Crystal Lake, IL to complete the 2017 Crack Sealing Program. This work involves placing rubberized asphalt crack sealant into existing cracks and seams in the asphalt roadway. This process extends the useful life of the roadway by slowing the growth of existing and future cracks.
This work was scheduled to start on Wednesday October 18th and continue for approximately two weeks. Work normally lasts 2 days on each street. After the material has been placed, City crews will be sweeping the street to remove any construction debris.
Construction signs will be placed prior to the start of work. Please obey all CONSTRUCTION
AHEAD and NO PARKING signs until these signs are removed.
The attached list and map represent the affected streets in ranked order. The contractor will follow this same order when completing work. Please note that not all streets may be completed, depending on the material required to complete higher ranking streets.
The City of Sycamore appreciates your patience during this project. The tentative schedule
outlined above may change from time to time depending on weather conditions, availability of labor, materials and equipment, etc. If you have any questions about this project, please contact the Sycamore Engineering Department at 815 895-4557.

Nope that tax it lol.
Motorcycles beware……. Tar Snakes in the making.
Bikes too. I took a dive on one awhile back.
What a NOVEL idea… Too bad other nearby towns don’t know about this technique…
DeKalb used to have an annual program but that was one way to cut expenses which in turn merely just expedited the failure of more city streets.
DeKalb lacks a preventative maintenance program for the City of DeKalb’s infrastructure which is now a major reason for so many roads in need of replacement.
We have passed the point of repairing for many of our neighborhood streets. You can pay a little today or pay a lot tomorrow. We need to stop kicking the can down the road city hall.
Do your jobs, you are being paid extremely well to do it or in this case not doing it.
Does DeKalb even have a crack sealing program any longer?

How can it be that works needs to be done on Sandcastle drive?! That’s a much newer subdivision/area than Windfield Meadows…
