Sycamore Speedway wants to congratulate Scott Vetter of Union for the 2013 Spectator Championship, Mallory Jackson of St. Charles for the 2013 Powder Puff Championship, Mike Cunz of Cortland for the 2013 Compact Championship, and Ryan Decker of Palatine for the 2013 Full Size Car Demolition Derby Championship and Eddie Brown of Sandwich for the 2013 Compact Car Demolition Derby Championship. These ladies and gentlemen of racing dedicated themselves to both Friday and Saturday night of racing to take these top honors. Without any of them our Friday night shows would not be what they are. Congrats again to all of these Champions.
It is hard to believe that the 2013 race season at Sycamore Speedway is coming close to the end with only 1 night left. The speedway wants to end the season with a bang and is offering some nice deals to those that are on their mailing list so they are urging everyone to join their mailing list for these great offers for 2013 and to be the first ones informed for 2014’s events. The Speedway knows that many fans missed the Friday shows because people flooded the gates on Saturday. Due to the amazing crowd on Saturday night, Sycamore Speedway is considering added a few more Friday night shows to their schedule for 2014.
For this coming weekend Sycamore Speedway is hosting the first “Run What You Brung” Plus Figure 8’s and Demolition Derbies. For those folks that have been diehard fans of the racetrack, this is a show you don’t want to miss. Not only is there racing but they are bringing back the front stretch demolition derby and big track Figure 8. Gates open at 6pm, Time Trials at 6:15pm and Racing at 8pm. General Admission is $12 for Adults on Friday night, $5 for children ages 6 through 13 and for children 5 and under are FREE. They hope to see you all at the races.
