This Thursday, April 12th, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. officers from the Sycamore Police Department will hold “Coffee with a Cop” at the Parkway Restaurant on East State Street in Sycamore. The event is to foster community engagement and promote trust building through informal conversation between officers and the public. Coffee with a Cop is a national program that started in 2016 and this is fifth local event Sycamore Police have held.
“We welcome people to stop by and discuss any concerns or ideas they have with our officers. Community support in Sycamore has always been tremendous, whether for the police, the schools, or the fire department, and opportunities like these are great to continue trust building and understanding.” Said Chief Jim Winters.
