SYCAMORE – With sincere gratitude, the Sycamore Music Boosters would like to thank Bockman’s Auto, Truck & Tire for its fundraising campaign, which provided $1,500 from the more than 90 customers who donated their Rewards Dollars from the business.
Jon Bockman, the owner of Bockman’s Auto, Truck & Tire, presented the funds to Sycamore Music Boosters President Jenelle Robers at the boosters meeting March 21.
In addition to Bockman’s customers, the Sycamore Music Boosters would like to express appreciation to the larger Sycamore community for its ongoing support. “Seeing so much support from the community means so much,” Robers said. “It is a reminder of why we do what we do.”
The boosters wish to assure the community that it takes stewardship over donated funds seriously. The board will operate with transparency to strengthen the public’s trust. Board members will continue to cooperate with authorities related to missing funds as the matter moves through the court system.
In the meantime, the Sycamore Music Boosters will continue to provide vital funding to a true gem of our community – the music programs at Sycamore School District 427. We are so proud of our students and will continue our important work of supporting them
The Sycamore Music Boosters provides funding for scholarships, equipment, guest clinicians, travel and more for students in K-12 music programs offered within Sycamore Community School District 427. its board of directors is a volunteer group of parents and community members. Board meetings are open to the public. Everyone is invited to attend the board’s monthly meetings, which are 6 p.m. the third Thursday of every month in the Sycamore High School library, unless otherwise noted.
