Sweets4Troops has set a record for the first week of sweets collection! Through the TV promotion from Rockford TV Channel 17 & 39, The DeKalb School District, Crystal Lake School District and local concerned citizens, we have almost reached our goal of 1,000 pounds of candy and treats. We currently have 800 pounds of treats and sweets to send to the military service members serving overseas.
These sweets and treat will be sent as a part of Holiday Packages for the Military. We will forward these treats to military member units serving overseas and select domestic locations through our Veteran partnerships.
Executive Director Michael Embrey would like to encourage individuals, groups and organizations to help Sweets4Troops.com reach our goal of 1,000 pounds of candies and treats to help make our service members’ holidays a little sweeter. We also will accept Christmas candy and treats.
