The DeKalb County History Center has just the event to get everyone outside!
Summer is here, let’s get outside and explore! Worms, ladybugs, birds, vegetables, flowers, and watching the clouds are all part of summer memories. Join the DeKalb County History Center this summer as they take a closer look at these topics through stories, songs, and crafts.
“We love seeing children coming to the DeKalb County History Center to discover, explore and experience all our garden story times have to offer. Children really get into learning more about where they live and all of the wonderful things around them,” explained Michelle Donahoe, DeKalb County History Center’s Executive Director.
The season starts on Thursday, June 14 with “Wonderful Worms,” and continues with “Ladybugs on the Loose” on June 21, “Plant Parts are for Eating” on July 12, “Birds in our Word” on July 19 and “Discovering Vegetables” on August 9. The program is for 3-6 year olds (siblings are welcome), and it starts at 10:00. Registration is recommended (for one or all programs). Call 815-895-5762 or email info@dekalbcountyhistory.org. The DeKalb County History Center is located at 1730 N. Main Street.
