The Orchard may be closed, but it is the most beautiful time of year, Spring Bloom! All of our apple trees are blooming and full of snow white blossoms and bright pink buds. It was a long winter, so we are blessed for this beautiful Spring Show!
This is a crucial part of our apple development, as we need these beautiful blooms to be pollinated so they can become apples! Wind does a lot of the work, but it is just as important for our bees to get buzzing around in the orchard. They work hard this time of year collecting nectar and spreading pollen. Those bees make sure we have plenty of apples by pollinating the blossoms, and create delicious honey as well! That makes our honeybees some of our most valuable employees on the farm, especially in Spring.
