It’s the Valentine season and time for Dads to take their little girls to the dance. Both Sandwich and Sycamore Park Districts are hosting Daddy Daughter Dances this weekend. The DeKalb Park District will hold one next weekend on Saturday, February 20th which we will write about next week.
Fathers and daughters, grandfathers and granddaughters, uncles and nieces, are all invited to join the Sandwich Park District for an evening dinner, dancing and fun this Friday, February 12th from 6-9pm! This is a great opportunity for busy dads to spend quality time with their daughter(s). Treat your special little girl to an elegant evening of dining and dancing. Special dresses for girls, suits and ties for dads are recommended, but not required. All young ladies will receive a complimentary gift bag. Professional pictures are available at an additional fee.
The Dinner/Dance fee includes one adult and one child. Cost is $20/24 per person Ages 3 – 10. Each extra person is an additional charge of $10. The dance will be held at Fox Valley Community Center, 1406 Suydam Rd, Sandwich, IL. The tradition continues with a red carpet entry, a chance to win a door prize, plenty of dancing, a DeeJay to rock the house with popular hit music, contests and raffles. There will also be a Daddy-Daughter Dance sponsored by the Sycamore Park District this weekend. On Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, come to the St. Mary’s Memorial Hall, 322 Waterman St. in Sycamore for their Daddy Daughter Valentine’s Dance. The DJ will provide fun music (including the Chicken Dance) all night long. They will supply hor d’oerves, a flower for each young lady, and every couple will receive a photo to commemorate the event.
This event is for all ages. Thank you to US Cellular for providing the photographs! Advanced Registration Deadline is this Thursday, February 11th. Cost in advance for residents is $27/Nonresidents $32 per couple, $7 for each additional daughter • 116-60-01 Cost at the door: Resident $37/Nonresident $42. (Registrations at the door will only be guaranteed a picture.)

It’s weird for fathers that work slot and don’t get to spend a lot of time with there daughters to be able to take there daughters to a dance. If it’s weird to spend with our kids so be it God Bless America
