The DeKalb City Council will meet Thursday, January 14 at the DeKalb Public Library for an additional public discussion regarding the Draft Strategic Plan.
The plan, which was developed with input from residents, business owners, students, City Council members and other community members, is a collaborative document meant to guide City operations for the next 10 years.
NIU’s Center for Governmental Studies guided the planning process and Diana Robinson of CGS will moderate the retreat.
This retreat is the second opportunity for Council members to publicly discuss the document, and the first time they will discuss the document including direct community feedback provided based on the plan’s original draft.
The retreat will start at 5 p.m. and will be held in the Library’s Yusunas Room. Questions regarding the retreat or the Draft Strategic Plan may be directed to the City Manager’s Office: (815) 748-2090.
