KIRKLAND, IL – On Thursday, October 12th, Ralph Ziegler was presented a giant check from Resource Bank, N.A. in the amount of $10,000 for winning the Kickoff for Kash at Hiawatha High School. Ziegler won Resource Bank’s Kickoff for Kash on Friday, October 6th, when he purchased a one-dollar ticket for the event, and Hiawatha’s Blake Wiegartz returned the second half opening kickoff for a touchdown.
Resource Bank has been sponsoring the Kick-Off for Kash program since 2007 as a way to support local high school programs. Organizations at Hiawatha High School, Sycamore High School, DeKalb High School, Genoa-Kingston High School, and Hampshire High School retain all proceeds from ticket sales for their program needs. Each school offers tickets for purchase at their home games, and the winning ticket is drawn that night. The raffle ticket winner is announced before the kick-off. If that person is present and the home team returns the half-opening receiving kick for a touchdown, that person wins the grand prize of $10,000!
Football season will soon be over, but another Resource Bank sports program will be running as well – the Shoot for the Loot, a similar program that benefits local high schools during their basketball season! For more information, contact Resource Bank at 815-756-6321.
