Downtown Stakeholders:
Re:New DeKalb has been a vital part of downtown DeKalb for the past 8 years. During that time the downtown has undergone a lot of changes including improved infrastructure and streetscapes, new and expanded businesses and changing leadership throughout the community. Re:New DeKalb has started to undergo strategic changes to their organization to better serve the community. Because of these changes Re:New DeKalb will no longer be the organization responsible for managing downtown events.
Knowing the value and importance of these events, Re:New worked with the City of DeKalb and the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce to transition responsibility of downtown events from Re:New to the Chamber. Not only will this transition include a new managing organization but also a new Events Manager, as Lindsey Engelsman has submitted her resignation and will be leaving the organization Friday, August 30.
Going forward all downtown events and activities will be handled by the Chamber, and any questions regarding this can be directed to Matt Duffy with the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce. Any questions regarding Re:New DeKalb should be directed to Frank Roberts.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation through this transition. We looking forward to seeing continued success of downtown events and anticipate even more opportunities for stakeholder involvement.
