For the ninth consecutive year, Nonprofit Day will offer training, networking, and professional development for nonprofit staff, volunteers, and board members on Wednesday, July 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Faranda’s Banquet Center in DeKalb. The conference is organized by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership(DCNP), which is a program of the DeKalb County Community Foundation.
For the first time, Nonprofit Day is being sponsored by First Midwest Bank.
“Nonprofit organizations within DeKalb County are in touch with the needs of our community,” said Mike Cullen, Regional President of First Midwest Bank. “It’s our pleasure to support this day and more importantly, support the work that these nonprofits perform day in and day out, every year.”
“We’re excited to partner with First Midwest Bank for Nonprofit Day this year,” said Ben Bingle, DCNP Director. “Through their support, we can offer a professional conference with a keynote speaker, nine breakout sessions led by expert presenters, a networking reception, and much more right here in our local community, for our local nonprofits.”
Training will focus on topics, such as leadership, volunteer management, marketing, conflict resolution, and fundraising. Stacy French-Reynolds, a national nonprofit and small business consultant from Anchor Advisors, Ltd., will provide the keynote remarks.
“Nonprofit Day is such a unique, impacted event,” said Paul LaLonde, Assistant Director of the Voluntary Action Center (VAC).“ Our employees who attend report back that this conference provides them with new tools, skills, and knowledge to advance our mission.”
Attendees must RSVP for Nonprofit Day by July 20. Online registration is available at dcnp.org. Attendance is free for DCNP members and non-members can attend for $30, payable at the door by check or cash.
