RAMP’s Changing Attitudes Breaking Barriers Dinner will entertain and educate guests to become more aware and supportive of RAMP’s mission, to promote an accessible society that allows and expects full participation by individuals with disabilities.
In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), this year’s keynote speaker will be Ann Ford, Executive Director of Illinois Network of Centers for Independent Living (INCIL) in Springfield. She is one of the most significant advocates for Illinoisans with disabilities. As a result of contracting polio at age five Ann has become a tireless advocate and strong leader, overcoming countless challenges throughout her life. Since its enactment in 2003, Ford has served as the Co-Chair of the Disabilities Services Committee – which enhances the state’s compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Ann Ford has dedicated her life to empowering individuals with disabilities to become full participants in society.
RAMP’s Changing Attitudes Breaking Barriers Dinner will be this coming Thursday, September 17th, 2105 beginning at 5:30pm at Faranda’s Banquet Center, 302 Grove Street in DeKalb.
