Don’t put your swim suits and shorts away yet. A very warm to hot weather pattern will return this weekend in the DeKalb County area. It could last into early next week and we will see an increase in humidity. Take extra caution if you have any outdoor activities planned. Pay special attention to your pets if they spend time outdoors and remember to never leave a pet unattended in a car.
Expect low to mid 90’s on Saturday and Sunday with heat indexes possibly reaching upper 90’s. Cooling locations will be announced by the cities of DeKalb and Sycamore.
