Makes a delicious addition to salads, goes great with seafood. Great blanched, raw, or sauteed… Serve with Arctic Char, Salmon, or other light fish. Pairs well with Bell’s Riesling, ($11.99) available in our wine department. Here’s a couple of recipe ideas for you! Sea Bean Salad: You will need: 4 oz sea beans 2 oz arugula 2 oz baby spinach 1 tsp sesame oil toasted sesame seeds or pine nuts 1 lime, lemon, or orange. YOUR CHOICE! Bring 4 qts water to a boil. Blanche sea beans for 3-4 minutes. Drain, and rinse with cold water. Toss sea beans, arugula and spinach with sesame oil, sesame seeds or pine nuts, and squeeze citrus of your choice on top. Sea Bean Shrimp Cocktail You will need: 4 oz sea beans 8-12 cooked peeled & deveined shrimp, chilled Chopped fresh Basil, Dill, or Mint YOUR CHOICE! Cocktail sauce Extra Virgin Olive OIl Bring 4 qts water to a boil. Blanche sea beans for 3-4 minutes. Drain, and rinse with cold water. Chop fresh herbs of your choice. Place sea beans on plate, top with cooked chilled shrimp, sprinkle herbs on top. Garnish with cocktail sauce, drizzle extra virgin olive oil on top. TIP #1: When using sea beans, DON’T ADD SALT! They are naturally salty. TIP #2: When blanching green vegetables, add a pinch of baking soda, helps to keep the colors vibrant & bright.
