Due to damage from the Emerald Ash Borer, numerous trees have declined to the point of requiring removal. Contractors will be removing selected ash trees from the parkways throughout the City of DeKalb during the month of July.

And…I hope replacement. I am still waiting for NIU to replace all the ash that were cut down in the nursing school field. Sad that it has turned into the “north 40.”

We have lost numerous trees to that darn bug. We are replanting though. I hope everyone else does the same.
