This Sunday, March 25th, is the kick off date for the Tourness Film Festival – 4 days, 7 European films, at the Egyptian Theatre in downtown DeKalb. Sponsored by a grant from the French American Cultural Exchange, the Tournees Festival features seven contemporary European films selected by the NIU Film Society and introduced by faculty specialists from NIU. A Post Reception will be held on Thursday, March 29th, the last evening of the festival. All films are subtitled in English. The festival is open to all and free to students with a current university or high-school ID.
The Tournées Festival was organized by the Northern Illinois University Film Society and made possible with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Ministry of Culture (CNC). Students of all area high schools, colleges, and universities are admitted free with valid, current school id. Picture ID required. Present school ID at the ticket booth to receive admission. Tickets are $7 for adults or $21 for a Festival Package. Seniors: $5/night or $15 Festival Package. Film Festival full schedule below.
