NIU students and community invited to host table or attend annual NIU Volunteer Fair

Student Involvement & Leadership Development at Northern Illinois University is inviting service-oriented student organizations from NIU and area non-profit organizations to host a table at the Northern Illinois University Volunteer Fair which will be held on Sunday, August 21st, 2016 at the Art Gallery Lounge in the Holmes Student Center on NIU’s campus. Students interested in community service are encouraged to browse the tables any time between 2-4 p.m. that day.

The volunteer fair, held annually in the fall, provides NIU students the opportunity to meet representatives from local organizations who are seeking passionate volunteers. Local organizations are provided a table at the fair and are encouraged to showcase their organization’s services and needs as well as to provide students with information and the ability to sign up for follow-up information.

Non-profit organizations and student organizations can register for the fair by visiting https://www.eventbrite.com/e/northern-illinois-university-volunteer-fair-2016-tickets-26468870103 and completing the online registration form. There is no cost associated with the fair.

Parking for community members without an NIU parking permit is available in the NIU Visitor Pay Lot on Carroll Avenue (near the parking garage and Founders Memorial Library) and is free on the weekends.
