Giveaways, Autographs, Activities for Kids During Saturday Football Practice
Northern Illinois invites all Huskie football fans across the area to attend the free NIU Football Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 14 from 9:30 am to Noon at Huskie Stadium in DeKalb.
Fans of all ages can get ready for the 2010 Northern Illinois football season by watching the Huskie football practice beginning at 10 a.m. on the Brigham Field Turf. Throughout practice, NIU Athletics will have a bounce house and temporary tattoos stations set up in the end zone for kids, and will give away 2010 NIU football posters, schedule magnets and cups (while supplies last). The Northern Illinois cheerleaders and Victor E. Huskie will be on hand to meet and greet fans. Following practice, everyone will be invited onto the field where the Huskie players will sign autographs.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., fans who have already ordered their 2010 NIU football season tickets can pick those tickets up at the ticket windows on the West Side of Huskie Stadium. In addition, members of the Huskie Athletics Support Fund can pick up their benefits packets for 2010, and Prairie View Dental Pup Club Packets will be available for fans who have signed up.
The Prairie View Dental Pup Club is open to kids in the eighth grade and younger. For $35 per year, Pup Club members receive free admission to all regular season home athletic events, a membership card, a Prairie View Dental Pup Club T-shirt and invitations to special Pup Club events.
Information on the Prairie View Dental Pup Club, 2010 NIU football season tickets and the Huskie Athletic Support Fund will be available at the West Side Ticket windows and NIU will take new season ticket orders during Saturday’s event.
Fans will be permitted to bring their own food and drink to NIU Football Family Fun Day as concession stands will not be open. Food and drink will not be allowed on the field or in the end zone areas of Brigham Field. For more information please visit the NIU Huskie website.
