NIU Cares Day is this coming Saturday, April 12th, 2014. NIU Cares Day is a campus-wide day of community service. Volunteers comprised of NIU students, faculty, and staff come together once a year to complete projects that benefit DeKalb County’s not-for-profit organizations and community agencies as a way of thanking the community for their support of the institution and its mission. NIU volunteers are transported to locations around the county to spend the day planting, painting, cleaning, sorting, assisting with events, and various other tasks.
So if you see students working hard around the community this Saturday between 9am and noon, give them a honk and thumbs up! More information here. Watch the video below!
