Three local artists will present a night of original music and stories this Saturday, August 3rd, 2013. Na-Da Farm Homestead, in Esmond, Illinois, will host a night of stories and music from local artists this Saturday.
Writer Kyle White and musicians Greg and Kim Wheaton will perform at 6 p.m.. White is an author and illustrator whose book of regional essays, Wisconsin River of Grace, was featured in Northern Public Radio’s 2012 Winter Book Series. Greg Wheaton plays acoustic, fingerstyle guitar, in the style of Phil Keaggy, Andy McKee and Antoine Dufour. He is an endorsement artist for Stonebridge Guitars, and recently released his CD, “Hope Against Hope.” Vocalist and guitarist Kim Wheaton plays acoustic, story-filled songs. She also is a pottery artist and birth doula.
The cost to attend this evening is $7 at the door. A dinner of locally-raised beef bratwurst, iced tea and chips will be available for $5. No alcohol is permitted. Bring chairs or a blanket to sit on. Na-Da Farm’s shop is located at 2423 S. Woodlawn Road, in Esmond. The venue is approximately fifteen minutes West of DeKalb between Routes 38 and 64.
