“Music at the Mansion” and Entertainment with the Stars will return this summer for a six-date concert series. These concerts will be held at the beautiful Ellwood House Mansion near downtown DeKalb.
The “Music at the Mansion” concert series program has announced dates for summer 2021. Each concert will provide the audience a different music genre of entertainment. These Ravinia-style concerts are free and open to the public.
Entertainment for “Music at the Mansion” includes:
- June 23, Salute to the Great Entertainers featuring the “Rat Pack Tribute Show”
- June 30, Salute to Country Music featuring “Back Country Roads”
- July 14, Salute to the 60s, 70s, 80s featuring “Elderly Brother”
- July 21, Salute to Margaritaville featuring “Mr. Myers Band”
- July 28. Salute to Latin America Salsa featuring “Salsa del Norte”
- August 4, Salute to Big Band featuring “Jazz in Progress”
The main acts start at 7:00 PM.
Before each main act, there will be an opening act of local talent. This includes a variety of entertainment including a summer fashion show, “Misspent Youth Strings,” “Apollo Strings Quartet,” “DeKalb Flute Ensemble,” and others to be announced. Opening acts start at 6:30 PM.
New this year will be activities around the Ellwood House and include craft shows, classic car shows, and other events to be announced.
Sponsorships: In order for this concert series to happen, each show must be sponsored. Businesses, organizations, clubs, and individuals are encouraged to be a concert sponsor. Each concert will be honoring local civic and social organizations, including: Rotary, ELKS, Kiwanis, American Legion, Chambers, Mayors, First Responders, as well as select industries and businesses within DeKalb County.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and other items to enjoy this outdoor event. A variety of beverages will be available to purchase from Fatty’s Pub (DeKalb), a partial sponsor of this concert series.
