The Midwest Museum of Natural History in Sycamore is hosting its 3 day Summer Camp: ‘Animal Adventures’ this week, from July 13-16, 9am-11am, and 1pm-3pm. Kids entering 1st-3rd grade may attend the 9am session, and kids 4th grade and up can attend the 1pm session.
The Mission of the Midwest Museum on Natural History is to inspire an appreciation for the great diversity of the natural environment and human culture through education and recreation. Russell Schelkopf is a local veterinarian, entrepreneur, community leader, conservationist and life-long hunter. In 2004, Schelkopf donated his priceless collection of preserved mounts to the City of Sycamore. His collection was the seed that sprouted the Midwest Museum of Natural History.
Cost for the 3 day summer camp is $60/non-member children, and $55/member children. Registration is required. For more information about this exciting opportunity, visit www.mmnh.org or call 815-895-9777.
