Micki Chulick was named the recipient of the Kishwaukee College Board of Trustees’ 2012 John C. Roberts Community Service Award. John Roberts, one of the founders of Kishwaukee College, valued service and worked tirelessly, not just for the College, but throughout the community. The John C. Roberts Community Service Award was established in 2009 in his memory to recognize and honor other community members who live their lives according to these same ideals.
Micki Chulick was selected for her dedication to the education of the very young in the local communities through her work as the Director of Community Coordinated Child Care (4C). Mrs. Linda Mason, in bestowing the Roberts Award to Chulick at the Kishwaukee College Commencement ceremonies on May 19, stated, “Micki Chulick has become so woven into the fabric of our community, it’s difficult to imagine what it would be like without her influence, her input, her intuition, and her insistence on creating a better world, beginning with our children. These are the same qualities that were valued by John Roberts and why Micki is such a worthy recipient of the 2012 John C. Roberts Community Service Award.”
