The Boy Scouts of Sycamore Troop 40 would like to invite the public to join them in a Memorial Day Service and Clean-Up Project on Sunday, May 27th at 3:00pm at the Joiner Cemetery which is located west of Sycamore, on the north side of West Old State Road just east of Five Points Road.
Boy Scout Troop 40 has been cleaning-up the cemetery for many years as an annual work day service project. The first clean-up day on record was on Sunday, November 14, 1999 and Troop 40 along with others, have been keeping the traditional cleanup days since May 30, 2005. There is much work still yet to be done. Landscaping, restoration of grave stones and new fencing is still needed. To volunteer and help restore the Joiner Cemetery, please attend the service and assist in this worthwhile project for Memorial Day Weekend.
