A meeting planned for DeKalb’s City Council discussion on the development of an Annie Glidden North Revitalization Plan has been postponed. This meeting, which was originally scheduled as a Special Committee of the Whole discussion for Wednesday, June 7, will be rescheduled and the new meeting date will be publicized.
The City has been working on the development of an Annie Glidden North Revitalization Plan pursuant to the direction of the Mayor, the City Council and the DeKalb 2025 Strategic Plan.
The City previously issued a Request for Proposals for the plan and based upon the responses, City staff has been preparing for the conduct of a Special meeting with the City Council, in a Committee of the Whole format, to discuss the project.
As the costs of the project represent an expenditure of public funds, staff has been working diligently to identify ways of attaining the desired project outcomes while minimizing expenditures.
As the City is involved in discussions to coordinate the scope of the project, the special meeting is premature. The meeting will be rescheduled within the next 30-60 days. Questions regarding the Annie Glidden North Revitalization Plan or the meeting cancellation may be directed to the City Manager’s Office at (815) 748-2090.
