Celebrate DeKalb County’s premier gala event raising funds for the care of homeless animals at TAILS Humane Society. TAILS Humane Society’s 11th annual dinner and auction gala event rolls into town March 5th with a Mardi Gras theme! Mardi Paws, formerly Tropical TAILS, will be held in the Duke Ellington Ballroom on NIU’s campus from 5pm-9:30pm. The event will again feature a sumptuous dinner and live/silent auction with over 200 items including vacation packages, a beautiful handmade wooden dog bed and a variety of other exciting items.
The silent auction begins at 5:00 pm followed by a New Orleans-themed plated dinner and live auction. Tickets can be obtained online at www.tailshumanesociety.org . Single tickets are $65 and a table of eight is $450.
This year’s chair, Regina Harris, is pretty excited about this year’s offerings. “Tropical TAILS is our largest fundraiser of the year and also the most popular with our donors. Each year, we’ve attracted over 350 attendees. It’s become the area’s premier gala auction event and the only one of its kind in this region dedicated to helping homeless animals. It’s a great excuse to break out the beads and boas and head out to support the animals”, said Harris.
Tickets are $65 each or $450 for table of 8. Can’t make it? Donate at www.tailshumanesociety.org to help TAILS. More information here
