The Annual Malta Days Festival is this Friday through Sunday, June 8th – 10th. Malta’s big festival is great family fun with their soundstage, carnival rides and games, bingo, food, craft fair and much much more. The fun kicks off on Friday where the carnival, food, craft and vendor booths will be open from 5pm to 10pm. The beer garden will be open until 11pm Friday. Opening ceremony will be at 6pm and JD Brown will take the stage from 7pm – 11pm.
Malta’s Fire Department hosts a pancake breakfast Saturday morning from 6:30-11am. Check out the car show in Lions Park from 8am-3pm. Tractor Trot 5k Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 9am. The proceeds of the 2012 Tractor Trot will be donated to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) DeKalb County. CASA is a non-profit organization that provides trained volunteers to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children who come into the DeKalb County Juvenile Court System. Saturday’s Soundstage music will feature from 12pm- 3pm “Hitman Rock Band”, from 3:30pm – 7pm “Shooter” and from 7:3 pm – 11:30 pm “Whiskey Bent”. Malta’s fireworks show will be Saturday evening at 9pm at Lions Park running track.
There will be a parade on Sunday at 11am hosted by Resource Bank. The carnival, bingo, food and vendor booths and beer garden will all be open from noon-6pm on Sunday.
