With today’s spotlight on Miele’s built-in coffee machines, we’ll end our month of reviewing some of the premium hot beverage appliances available through the showrooms of Atherton Appliance & Kitchens and BSC Culinary. We’ve talked about some of the latest innovations, from single-serve capsules to removable carousels and flexible cup sizes and beverage types. Today, for customers whose kitchens are designed to incorporate a seamless décor, we’d like to introduce Miele’s built-in coffee machines.
Miele is a German manufacturer that has been producing high quality domestic appliances and machines for commercial applications for more than a century. A family-owned, family-run company, Miele’s goal is to manufacture the highest-quality domestic appliances and commercial equipment in the world and to be seen by markets worldwide as providing an absolutely top-class household product. When you learn more about Miele’s built-in coffee machines, we think you’ll agree that they are achieving their goal.
Miele actually offers two built-in coffee systems: the CVA 4062 Whole Bean/Ground Coffee System and the CVA 4066 Whole Bean/Ground Coffee System with a Plumbed-in water connection.
The CVA 4062 Whole Bean/Ground Coffee System has a stainless steel finish that features the company’s Clean Touch Steel™ and adds to the sleek, contemporary look of any modern kitchen. This appliance features a left-hinged door with a concealed handle, a patented brewing unit that incorporates a conical grinding system and a grinder bypass that enables you to bypass the traditional, fresh grind and brew process by opening the coffee system door and pouring ground coffee into the designated chamber. The ability to oscillate between caffeinated and decaffeinated beverages, for example, makes this system very versatile. The 500g coffee bean container grinds from 6g to 12g of coffee beans per cup, and grinder settings are adjustable from coarser settings to fine. A pre-brew system (on/off) is included, along with a large-capacity container for used coffee grounds. Adjustable cup size settings – a favorite innovation in modern coffee appliances – are available with this machine, along with variable water temperature control and even a water hardness setting. And for that extra touch of luxury, you’ll enjoy integrated, eco-friendly LED lighting, a multi-lingual LCD display that offers 21 languages, a hot water spout, and dual dispensing spouts with tall height adjustability.
Miele’s CVA 4066 Whole Bean/Ground Coffee System offers the same world-class features, but has a plumbed-in water connection that eliminates the need to fill a water canister in the sink. Talk about luxury, innovation, and seamless integration into your modern kitchen!
In addition to Miele’s built-in hot beverage machines, the company offers the Nespresso Capsule Coffee System with a 20-capsule capacity and a removable capsule carousel. Included for your convenience are a cleaning agent, two espresso cups and saucers, and two cappuccino cups and saucers. Miele also offers three styles of Countertop Coffee Systems.
We’ve always been impressed by Miele – in addition to its admirable product goals and commitment to remaining a family-run company, Miele is a socially-aware company with a commitment to sustainability. As the company notes on its website: “Within the framework of supplier management, the top priority of buyers at Miele is to ensure that they only select and use suppliers who comply with applicable environmental and social standards.”
With such a commitment to both its products and the planet, Miele is an excellent choice in an appliance manufacturer. And with the beauty, efficiency, and luxury that are an integral part of its built-in and other coffee products, we’re sure Miele will complement the design and functionality of your kitchen.
Stop by one of our showrooms to learn more! We’ll be happy to discuss Miele’s latest products with you, as well as other premium manufacturers that offer coffee and hot beverage machines.
