Local Resident Honored with Award of Excellence for Young Educator

Sycamore, Illinois resident Audra Cronauer was honored this past week during half-time at the Chicago Fire Major League Soccer game as part of Illinois’ “Those Who Excel Awards” for educators. This past October, Mrs. Cronauer along with 230 teachers were selected out of Illinois’ 200,000 teachers to be recognized for their work as educators.

Mrs. Cronauer received the Award of Excellence for early career educators. She was 1 of only 6 teachers in the State that received The Award of Excellence. The Award of Excellence was the highest award possible for a young educator. Mrs. Cronauer is a third grade teacher at Oregon Community School District 220.
