Here We Grow
Sorrento’s Restaurant, began back in 1974, when Vince Palazzolo, then owner of a pizza place, wanted to get out of the pizza business and out of the city. Looking west he found a restaurant that was for sale named Kendall’s Ranch. Kendall’s Ranch had been a successful restaurant for over 30 years. Vince bought the restaurant and changed the name to Sorrento’s Ranch. Sorrento’s wasn’t a success right off the bat with its heavy reliance to pastas and Italian dishes. Changes would have to be made to survive. Vince saw that the largest selling and most popular item on the menu was the prime rib. Then, Sorrento’s slowly turned from an Italian restaurant to an Italian steakhouse restaurant adding many of the steaks, seafood and chicken dishes we have today. Word began to spread. Business began to thrive. His son, Frank and his daughter Anita, joined the restaurant to help with the increase of business.
