Northern Illinois will host “Movie Night at Huskie Stadium” Friday, Aug. 1, as Huskie fans will be able to meet NIU head coaches and watch the movie “Frozen,” as chosen by a fan vote on NIUHuskies.com, on the Huskie Stadium videoboard.
Admission to “Movie Night at Huskie Stadium” is free.
NIU football season ticket holders are invited to a Season Ticket Holder Appreciation reception in the Brigham Family Plaza beginning at 5:15 p.m., while the stadium will be open and available seats marked as part of the “Select-a-Seat” availability at that time.
In addition, fans will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with NIU head coaches and administrators, cheerleaders and Victor E. Huskie prior to the movie as the “NIU Summer Circuit” concludes inside Huskie Stadium.
The field will be available for seating beginning at 6 p.m. and NIU Director of Athletics Sean T. Frazier and Huskie coaches will speak to the crowd at 6:15 from the Yordon Center Terrace.
NIU football season ticket holders for 2014 are invited to arrive early and enjoy free refreshments and take advantage of the cash bar in the tented area of the Brigham Family Plaza in the North End Zone. Tours of the new Coaches Club will be available (depending on construction clearance) for season ticket holders.
During the “Select-A-Seat” event, fans that have not yet purchased their 2014 football season tickets can go up and sit in their potential seats as available seats will be marked, and NIU Athletics representatives will be on hand to take orders and answer questions about season tickets.
NIU Football 2014 season tickets are on sale now and provide the best value, and access to the best seats, to watch the Huskies. A season ticket for all five 2014 Huskie home games is just $110 for the general public and $95 for NIU Faculty and Staff, NIU Alumni Association members and senior citizens. Call (815) 753-7225 (PACK) or stop by the NIU Convocation Center Ticket Office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
