Come learn more about Alzheimer’s Disease and how to better take care of your loved one at the Sycamore Public Library’s Memory Care Series this month. Join in as Tina Thompson, executive director at Sycamore’s Lincolnshire Place, a memory care facility, gives informal talks about living with Alzheimer’s. Ask questions, get answers, talk with others experiencing the same issues.
The Memory Care Series is free, starts next Tuesday, January 9th, and continues on January 16th and 23rd, each from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm. No registration required. All ages welcomed. See main topics covered below.
Jan. 9: Alzheimier’s & Behaviors; Please join us as Tina Thompson from Lincolnshire in Sycamore, discusses Alzheimer’s and how it affects behaviors. Tina will discuss hallucinations, wandering, sleeplessness, sundowing, and much more.
Jan. 16: Alzheimier’s & Daily Living; Please join us as Tina Thompson discusses family caregiving for those affected by Alzheimer’s. Important topics such as role of the caregiver, taking care of yourself, accepting support, and activities of daily life will be discussed.
Jan. 23: Alzheimer’s & Family Care Giving; Please join us as Tina Thompson discusses Alzheimer’s Disease & transitions. Social activities, spiritual issues, care facilities, and grief will be discussed in this session.
