DEKALB – As the community waits expectantly for the warmer weather of spring and the end of winter, the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra is pleased to present its Spring Pops Concert on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall in the Northern Illinois University Music Building.
Linc Smelser, KSO music director, has planned a varied and exciting program of classical favorites including:
• Horn Concerto No. 1 in E-flat Major, Op. 11 by Richard Strauss, featuring Mark Robinson, horn
• On the Beautiful Blue Danube Waltz, Op. 314 by Johann Strauss Jr.
• Waltz from “Sleeping Beauty” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
• March from “Raiders of the Lost Ark” by John Williams
• And more!
